MB : Msi 970 gaming
gpu: gtx 970
psu(i know its crap and plan to replace it with a gold+ 1000 w in the future): corsair cx750m
8gb of savage ram ddr3
Hi guys. I've recently built the system above and had a couple doubts. My mobo has gen 2 pcie lanes (one 16x, one 16x running in 8x) and, while the gtx 970 has been a total beast ( my old laptop is Asus x50gl), I've been looking into sliing it. Will the second gpu be limited for being an 16x gen3 card running in an 8x gen2 slot? Would it be better to invest in a 990fx mb to max out the increase.Thanks in advance
