I'm getting a 2nd GTX 970 for SLI, if I use a 750 TI for dedicated physX, do you think it would help in any areas, or even with micro stutter?

What about with microstutter? In a few tests that I've read about, dedicated physx does help with performance depending on the game, and i'm sure I can get a 750 TI relatively cheaply.

Yes, it should give you a boost in GPU accelerated PhysX games. Just be sure that you intend to play GPU accelerated PhysX games frequently, otherwise it will be sitting in your rig generating heat and noise for no reason.
