Overhauling a PC i build for a friend that's 5 years old.
He is running WinXP 32 bit, Phenom II X4 3.5 Ghz (212 cooler), Gigabyte 785G mobo, 4GB DDR2, Geforce 460, 320GB HDD, all in a NZXT case that's not terrible.

Upgrading to Win10 64bit, not touching cpu or mobo, adding 2gb ram (6gb total), swapping 460 for a radeon 7850 2gb (my old card that I sold him), adding a Mushkin 120GB SSD as the main drive (keeping the 320GB HDD as a secondary), and swapping all of the fans for new ones (nasty, nasty buggers).

I am also ditching his old Sigma 630W (not a 80 plus rated) PSU for a Corsair CMS 450W (modular 80+ gold) that I got for a great price, which i think can handle more power than the old 630W Sigma....

He mostly plays WoW along with Dota 2 and Diablo 3 (he is looking forward to using this rig with Overwatch). I think this will work for him for a few more years, opinions?

it not really a big deal but if you do lots of multi tasking i would recommend a new cpu and ram
mobo only needs to be upgraded if it no longer supports the rest of the hardware you want

the bottle neck is small and not that big of a deal but you pc will struggle to play a game, music, and have the browser open at the same time
