Hello. I Would like to apologize in advance for my ignorance, I am not at all tech savvy.

I Am looking to install a graphics card for my computer, a Dell Optiplex 755. For up until now I have had the integrated graphics card and I am interested in PC gaming.

I Was looking at the online manual and it said the system only uses PCI cards, I looked into what a PCI card was and for all of them the reviews I saw stated they are not suitable for gaming.

I Have 8GB of ram on my system, and I believe it is a Optiplex 755 Small Form Factor, for the record.

Thank you.

If you are ready to throw away some money for best solution, I would recommend MSI N750ti-2GD5TLP GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127836&ignorebbr=1&cm_re=gtx_750-_-14-127-836-_-Product

It is reported to work on many Dells with tiny PSUs, and this is the fresh confirmation http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2726986/dell-optiplex-790-sff-graphics-card.html

Your PSU of 275 watt is definitely stronger than Optiplex 790 SFF 240 watt!

Thank you very much for your reply.

I Foolishy forgot to mention that I have a 275 watt power supply. I Am willing to upgrade it if necessary (Which it is looking likely that I must if I wish to do any kind of gaming)

I'm not looking specifically for a high end card or machine. My interest lies in playing Team Fortress 2 and other source based games (Anything else it will run is simply a bonus) I Have little preference on what graphical settings I play on, as long as I get a consistent frame rate of at least 25-30 frames a second (60 is preferable, but not necessary). I Have an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 8GB of ram

I Have been looking at the following cards, for the record.

http://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-GeForce-Profile-Graphics-GV-N210SL-1GI/dp/B005MEDD80/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1438486027&sr=8-4&keywords=Low+profile+graphics+card+PCI

http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-PCI-Express-Graphics-GV-N610D3-2GI/dp/B00963S3QK/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1438486027&sr=8-6&keywords=Low+profile+graphics+card+PCI

If anyone happens to know of any other cards that would work with my system (Dell Optiplex 755 Small Form Factor) I would greatly appreciate it, any advice on power supply units would also be appreciated, as I have heard 275 Watts is insufficient for gaming.

Thank you very much for your time, and I once again apologize for my lack of knowledge of tech-related subjects. :)

Thank you for your reply.

I've been reading up on that card and it looks good, and is just within my budget. I Will continue to do my homework so to speak and read more, but from what I can tell it looks like it will do the trick.

I Will further into it to make sure I don't fry anything, looking at the reviews it seems a bit mixed, but as you said it is reported to work on a 240W PSU, and without too many power hungry accessories (I Use cheap earbuds, mouse, keyboard, an old monitor from the early 2000's, and a wireless USB network adapter. My computer also uses a fan) I feel somewhat confident about running it on my 275W PSU. I Will still take proper caution before purchasing, however.

Thank you everyone so much for your assistance :)
