Games Crash on Win10 even with new GPU drivers

I updated my system to Windows 10 a few days ago. Since then every game I try to run crashes within 5 minutes. I get the "Display driver has stopped..." error.

I tried playing Heroes & Generals and before we even got into the battle (player join screen) I could hear my GPU fans running much higher. After the game crashed I checked my temps and my GPUs were at 51c, which is extremely high for me, especially in a game like H&G. My GPU usages were also at 100%. I didn't even get into the battle, this all happened in less than 2 minutes.

My system basics:
AMD FX 8320
ASUS Sabertooth 990fx r2.0
Kingston Hyperx Fury 16gb
x2 - AMD R9 270x DC2 TOP

I downloaded the newest drivers for my GPU, version 15.7.1 and I checked Maximum PCs Win10 driver list for mobos and there isn't one (yet?).

My system runs flawlessly until I open up a game, but gaming is mainly what I use it for. Even games that have never crashed on me before are stopping, like WOW.

Anyone having a similar experience or found a solution?

Had the same issue but it never happened in games, only when web-surfing. Fixed it by going into safe mode and doing a complete uninstall of the amd driver with DDU ( http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/ ) and then booting normal, and using the " check for updates " tool in the control panel in which theres an amd audio and display driver you can install. ( reboot after)

I followed all of your directions, and Windows Update did find and install the new drivers but there was no change in the time it took for the games to crash. :(

note: deleted my previous post, didnt see there was a reply-to button

That's a possibility. Thanks for the previous advice, I'll keep that in mind if I'm still having problems after the reversion.

Edit: After I revert to 8.1, should I leave my GPU driver at 15.7.1 or roll back to the previous version? I'm really hoping reverting fixes the issue but I don't want to make it worse

Alright so I reverted back to Windows 8 and the games do run... for a bit.
GTA5 lasted maybe 15 seconds, then I got the "display driver stopped and has recovered.." message.
Heroes and Generals lasted maybe 4 mins, no error message though.
WOW lasted 15 solid minutes, also no error message just a freeze and lockup. I had to force a shutdown.

I never had any problems with my GPUs until I downloaded GTA, its the only game that would crash or have lower fps, could all the crashes have screwed up my GPUs? Or does this sound like a hardware problem, like maybe I need to replace them (or one)?

Sadly the only restore point available is yesterday at 7:40pm, I'm assuming previous restore points for 8.1 are wiped after upgrading to 10

I did a system refresh about an hour ago and after reinstalling games etc. I was able to play a full match (~20 mins) on H&G with no crash.

I think the problem is fixed now.
