A few things I can think of off the top of my head...
1) Make sure you both have vSync on. This keeps the GPU from wasting power trying to push FPS faster than your monitor can display.
2) If you have 120-144hz displays, set the refresh to 60 instead.
3) If you are overclocked, go back to stock or even underclock. You will be amazed how little power a CPU actually needs to run stably when set just a few hundred MHz below stock.
4) Don't multitask, stream or download while gaming. Check for other background tasks that might be using CPU power.
1) I didn't know vSync helped reduce power
ill try that
2) i have 2 tv's as my monitors, both 60 hz, brother has a 144 hz
3)im not overclocked, and wasn't aware underclocking was a thing
ill look into that
4) i never download while gaming but i do stream on twitch sometimes, powers never gone out while streaming though.
Thanks for the reply
ill do the vSync thing and look into underclocking, if it doesnt go out anymore ill select this as answer
