Here is my full configuration:
Motherboard: Foxconn 2ADA, although the Crucial stuff says it is the HP H-Joshua-H61-uATX. The motherboards seem to be pratically identical however.
CPU: Intel I7-3770 @3.40GHz
Ivy Bridge
Socket 1155LGA
RAM: 16 GB DDR3
Case: HP Pavilon classic one: http://g-ec2.images-amazon.com/images/G/02/uk-electronics/product_content/HP/hpDESKTOP1_L._V400582747_.jpg
Wattage: 300W

Actually, i didn't assembly this but i've changed a couple of things, this is the ORIGINAL configuration:
http://www.amazon.it/HP-Pavilion-p6-2326el-Processore-dedicati/dp/B00A71ADZY#productDetails

The things i've changed are: adding more ram and adding an internal SSD. Just that.

I'm currently running a GT640 and i would like to upgrade it. I've been suggested to buy a GTX750.
Will it be compatible with my motherboard and all the stuff?

Hello, A GTX 750 Ti OC would consume around 85W http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GTX_750_Ti_OC/23.html. So 300W would be fine. So the total power consumption of your computer would be,

CPU - 90W, GPU (750 TI) 90W, Rest -70W. All together roughly 250W. So yes It would handle it. But It would not be a wise decision. You CPU won't bottleneck high end cards today MEANING you can go for a better Card. I would suggest 450W PSU for the whole thing. That's rather a safe option.

Actually by running all of them on a 300W you risk the whole set of components.

Hope That Helped !

GTX 750 Ti will work without issues as long as your PSU has a minimum of 450W.
Especially since the GTX 750 Ti just dropped in price recently, it is an excellent choice.

I haven't got 450W, but only 300W so i've been suggested to not buy the TI version, but the normal one (aka this: http://www.amazon.it/nVIDIA-GeForce-Scheda-Video-Antracite/dp/B00JXLXSF6/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1438430699&sr=1-3&keywords=MSI+gtx+750+2gb)

Even for a GTX 750 the bare minimum PSU requirement is 300W, however this is the case if your PSU is atleast Tier 3, if you PSU is under Tier 3 and you use the GTX 750 you may have some issues further down the lines or when doing heavy load.

I have googled for a while and i have seen that also the gt640 is claimed to need a 450 w psu. I have also visited a couple of sites of comparation between graphic cards and shouldn't the gtx750 draw less power?

Oh i've seen that is the TDP and these ones should be instead the power consumption datas: GT 640 Idle - 103 Load - 208 (Metro 2033) / 156 (OCCT) GTX750 System in IDLE = 120 W System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 186W However i'm still searching around the power needed but seems like nvidia by itself claimed gtx750 to be fine with 300PsU: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/introducing-the-geforce-gtx-750-class Oh i've seen that is the TDP and these ones should be instead the power consumption datas: GT 640 Idle - 103 Load - 208 (Metro 2033) / 156 (OCCT) GTX750 System in IDLE = 120 W System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 186W However i'm still searching around the power needed but seems like nvidia by itself claimed gtx750 to be fine with 300PsU: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/introducing-the-geforce-gtx-750-class
Also this article seems to claim 300w psu be enough for a gtx750. Sorry for mycountinuous arguing but i'm trying to understand thebest i can the situation before buying anything :)

As i said before a quality 300W is enough for an efficient GPU like the GTX 750, it's just that if you have a poor PSU with poor components and bad effeciency you may not be getting the full 300W which will result to various issues later on. So as long as your PSU is Tier 2, you should have nothing to worry about.

Thank you for your quick answer :) i'm having some hard times in identifing my psu tier, i'll try to understand it by analizing the psu more deeply.
However, if gt640 runs fine, the gtx750 should run aswell, am i wrong? At least till the psu still fully working.. in the case, could you suggest me some good psu that would fit my case and more powerful than mine (450-500W)?
Consider also that i have a 600W UPS so i cannot exceed 500W for psu and it would be better to stay with the 450

This PSU is an excellent choice for the price, it is Tier 3.
