Weird problem with network connection tray icon

Recently I started having this problem, my tray icon is constantly like this:

The computer is connected to the internet and all is fine except for this.
I've also tried reinstalling the drivers.

Personally I would not worry about this. I have had the same display on my daughters computer for nearly a year without any issues emerging. You could try forgetting your connections and then reconnecting.
