I know that global offencive is the new counter strike and theres a bunch of pro players playing it and source is the older one but with out dated graphics but to me still looks amazing so graphics dont really matter at this point what matters to me is the server avalbility and some skin moding i dont really like the case thingy on go because it makes u wana not wana mod cuz its useless but what give me a chance to get go is that its the newwer game and has maybe more players on then source and ik they both have zombies mod on emm so that good but i still dont know which game i should get becuase i dont wana miss out because cs soruce is priced higher than go and i wonder why but still WHICH ONE SHOULD I GET. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is a lot more populated than CS:S but both games are great.

Both games provide excellent community modded servers that can provide countless hours of fun. However, I would say CS:GO is the better choice as it has a few more players and the Competitive matchmaking adds so much more to CS than CS:S can ever have.

Both are fully functional but if you want an easier community experience (workshop support, higher population etc.), go for CS:GO. It is cheaper, more updated, bigger community and provides more options of gameplay.

I'd say Global Offensive. Source is quickly dieing in sense of it being competitive. However, it all depends on your play style. If you would like just to play with friends and have fun then I'd say playing Counter Strike Source as it is more community now then competitive. Counter Strike GO is more competitive though as it still has official Valve servers and a strong community backing also. If you have a really bad PC though, I'd say getting Source until you can make the plunge and get a better PC. Playing GO in like 15 fps inst a good experience believe me. Source is based of a game engine that is over 10 years old. Sure Valve has made a few tweaks here and there, latest being the upgrade to the 2007 orange box source engine. Even know the game is quite old now, the graphics are still quite good. I sometimes get lost in the reflections on the floor and stuff, depends on how the map is made and lighting is done. But in all reality, both games are based off the same game engine. GO is just more updated and has an upgraded light engine, but textures and stuff all look the same to me.
