I work from home for a company and take IT service calls from my home, recently I've encountered a problem that I cannot figure out. My setup is a Vaio NR-220e, Not a great laptop but it gets the job done, I'm using charter 60MBPS internet and recently upgraded to their Netgear 6300 router. I have several devices that use wifi, and 4 that are plugged into the router (Vaio being one) Our VPN at work requires use of Safenet Mobile pass, which generates a key which I use to start my cisco anyconnect VPN client. Once started I just remote into my desktop at the office and should be fine. But recently since upgrading my router, my VPN just stops and gives a reconnecting retry 1 of 20, 2 of 20, etc. If I try to pull up pages from my desktop it fails with a DNS error. So I have to disconnect my VPN, regenerate a key with mobilepass, and reconnect, then I'm able to browse again and my remote desktop restores. This happens maybe 6 to 8 times in an 8 hour time frame. My other devices that are on WIFI, and wired directly keep working, no internet drop off, plus no dropoffs seen from my ISP. Because of this, my WFH time has been limited and I have to go into the office to work. I will be testing by connecting straight to the modem next weekend, to see if its my ISP stopping traffic or if its my router. I also have another netgear router an N600 that I've tried to go back to, but for some reason it won't pick up the connection settings...I'm very frustrated with this, don't know where else to go..

Thanks

I have reached out to charter, but they are not throttling my VPN, what I've found is that the VPN will require me to renew my token after an hour (exactly) but stops all traffic until that is renewed.
