I want to make a mini ITX pc for gaming
I have come to 3 major candidates:
-g3258 $70ish
-i3 4160 $110ish
-i3 4170 $115ish
Using GTX 750 ti, what would be the fps difference be between them on GTA 5 on high 1080p settings and which one would you reccommend for the price I am getting it?

Solution
if you can wait few weeks the newer skylake cpu will drop on sept 1. if you have a local micro center then you be able to get a real good deal on walk in price of intel cpu.

will they still have the lga 1150 socket?

You will be able to overclock the G3258 to 4.0Ghz or more (I have one that does 4.2, and one that does 4.5)

However, the i3s have Hyperthreading which will help with games that use more than two threads. There is only 0.1Ghz difference between 4160 and 4170, and there is no overclocking or turbo boost to affect the comparison, so buy the best price performance (most Mhz per $1.00)

Here's some G3258 performance information.

Your system will be GPU limited, so CPU improvements will provide few to no benefits. Are you sure that GPU will run 1080p 60Hz GTA 5 on high at 60FPS? I think you will get dips to the high 40s in frame rate at about 50% distance and not high pop.

If you can live with that, go for it.
