Last night my power went off in my house for a few seconds while using the PC. The computer automatically restarted and prompted me if I wanted to 'Start windows normally' and I said 'yes'.
Since logging in I cannot connect to the Internet but another PC in my house can (I think it was off during the power failure). I am using a NetCommWireless adapter which uses the power points in my house as a Ethernet connection. Currently I cannot even connect to the 192.168.0.1 on a webpage. I also remember an update downloading recently, but this was installed AFTER the Internet stopped working.
The message I have is "Unidentified Network, No Internet Access"
Here are all the solutions I have done:
1) Switch off NetCommWireless adapter from power point and then back on.
2) Disconnect Ethernet cable from adapter then back in.
3) Turn off computer and unplug from powerpoint then restart
4) Switch off router/modem and back on after 30 seconds
5) Same as 4 except holding in the power button as this happens
6) Reset the NetCommWireless adapters from router and my room twice
7) Repaired driver from the driver setup I used to install it just days ago.
8) Make sure the DNS is obtained automatically for bother ipv4 and 6
9) Used a manual DNS for ipv4
10) Used TMac v6 and changed my MAC address, then changed it back after not working.
11) Yelling at my computer and hitting the keyboard furiously.

HERE IS THE ANSWER!

Ok, so by disconnecting my PC and connecting it to a WIRED network WITHOUT the use of the power adapter, I deduced that my network card is fine and my home network is working correctly.
So, the problem MUST be the adapter in my wall.
I followed the steps to RESET my NetCommWireless power adapter and reconnected them to each other. The internet buffered and then it was back and fully connected.
The power outage must have screwed with the connection (but not fully broken it) so it thought it had a pairing to the other NetCommWireless device when it did not.

Instructions of how to re-set can be found on the website with the corresponding version of the device.

If the message you're getting is "NO INTERNET CONNECTION", the problem is more than likely with the cable modem or router. I have no idea what you mean by powerpoint. In 4 you said "Switch off router/modem and back on after 30 seconds". Switching off is one thing, but especially for the modem it must be unplugged from its power source for a minimum of 10 seconds, not just switch to off. Try unplugging both the cable modem and router from their power sources for 30 seconds and then give it a try.

The message I have on my bottom right is:
"Unidentified Network, No Internet access"
Powerpoint is where you plug something into the wall to get power.
Another computer can reach the Internet without problems from the same router, so powering off does nothing.
