Hi my computer parts suck. I bought this Toshiba Satellite C75D-B about 1 year ago and I'm learning these factory specs are just either out of date or were crappy from the start. Here is what I have to start with:

Specifications:

AMD A8-6410 APU
AMD Radeon R5 Graphics, 2.0GHz
RAM 6GB, (4.96 usable)
Windows 10 Home 64-bit x64 operating system
Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter

What should I be upgrading, buying, and installing for maximum settings in league of legends with low fps? right now I am at ~15fps on low/medium settings and 110ms ping and both of these numbers are very inconsistent. Will a new network adapter help with connectivity issues on my current networks?

Cost efficiency is nice. Also if there is any other information you need I will try my best to find it.

Thank you this will help me immensely.

Anything gaming wise for a laptop is going to cost money, while i dont know what price point your looking at it makes it hard to recommend anything.

You have to look at it this way. A strong $1000 desktop is going to run you around $2000 for a laptop to get close to the same specs. You also have to keep in mind that laptop parts have been handy capped to help save on battery life and heat. So a gtx 980 desktop card is not the same as a gtx 980m laptop card, the 980m compares closer to the 970 desktop card.

for gaming the lowest specs you would want is a i5 and a 960m, going with a i5 mobile you really need to watch out as some are 2 core with hyperthreading giving your 4 threads and others are 4 core with no hyperthreading...

I would really look at an i7 with a 970m for gaming. I bought a MSI GT60 with an i7 and 780m about 3 years ago for $2000 and it still plays all my games just fine to date.

some places to look would be xotic.com or sager.com for a gaming laptop

Alienware use to be good back in the day when they were alenware. now that dell has bought them out they are underspeced and over priced.

Lets take a look at this http://www.amazon.com/Alienware-AX51-6154BK-X51-Desktop/dp/B009JGTVM4

i5 3450 -> this is a gene 3 that is now pushing 3 years old
8gb of ram -> kind of a the standard for gaming now so thats ok.
1tb HDD -> it will do, for a desktop i would rather see a SSD with a it as well.
gt640 -> that is a laugh for a gaming card, not only is it 3 years old its a lowend card for the 600 series.
And this can be had for $1200

You can build a computer that will smash this for under $1000.

Found a good article with toms site. Side by side comparisons of desktop pcs that are ranked #1 in certain categories.

Alienware x51 is ranked the top of the performance by cost list which is what I will be seeking in the weeks to come.

Stay tuned in this posting thread for a full update in the weeks to come. If you are interested in a pc for league f legends you'll want to check my utter post out, no doubt.

Something seems off about this lol I have similar specs in my laptop and it can run League Of Legends on Max settings without lag with an average of 30 fps. This video will prove it https://youtu.be/mLgaKgmK04U You can change the power settings which will boost your fps. I copied the following from that video. "To change this computer's power settings (if it's similar to mine that is) in order to increase performance, you'll need to right click on an empty space on your desktop, click display settings, click power and sleep, scroll down and click additional power settings and then click on the high performance option." I know that defragging your PC and uninstalling some programs can help as well. Download a program called ccleaner and a program called Jetclean and run these before you start your game. Also, make sure your drivers are up to date and that you have the latest BIOS for your Toshiba. I'm not sure if you can contact support for your Toshiba online with an IM, but if you can they can probably get control of your laptop with remote control and update your pc drivers if needed. Hope this helps :)
