Happy Monday all.
This morning when running my desktop to check some stuff on WoW I encountered a problem I've only seen once before: about ~5 minutes in my desktop would auto-shut down (I assumed to overheating.)
I do have a hairy, shedding dog so believing the culprit to just be an excess build up of dust, I cracked open the case and gave her a cleaning. It was dusty but not overly bad. Started it back up, CPU was running a few degrees (C) cooler according to my temp screen. Get WoW going again, same thing happens.
Downloaded SpeedFan to check what internal temps were running. http://imgur.com/TjRPUQl this image is while sitting at idle with nothing more than SpeedFan and Chrome running. Everything is stable and I have no issues.
The second image here http://imgur.com/wqQjiMb is after WoW has been running for ~3 minutes. Note the much higher temps on GPU 1.
Overall, the system runs quite stable when not using the GPU.
Additional details: Case is a HAF Coolermaster 922. Very roomy, I'm only running stuff out of three bays (DVD/BD optical, hard drive, and SSD.) Cable management isn't impeding airflow.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
