Hi! I just have a question about the windows 8 pagefile. I have an ssd with win8 on it and an extra hdd just for storage. I read that moving the pagefile from the ssd to an extra drive can decrease ssd usage and increase lifespan. I did this (system managed size for hdd) but now it seems I get a bsod with KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR after waking up and trying to load something. Is my hdd failing? (it is older) Should i just put the pagefile back on the ssd? Thank you!

Solution
Maybe the HDD hasn't resumed from sleep yet when the OS kernel is requesting data from that memory page.

If you have a large amount of system RAM your page file will get much less use or no use so keep it on the SSD.
