so i want to buy a gaming pc costing (500$ at most) to play dayz and arma at medium settings at 40-60 fps. I want the build to have keyboard,os,mouse, monitor and headset (costing 400$ at most). I would prefer an nzxt s340 case. Thanks for any help.

Here's a nice little $500 build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Q3Bwbv

I am not familiar enough with peripherals to make recommendations. As for an OS, I'd just grab 7/8/10, choosing whichever is the cheapest, but that's me.

With the peripherals, on the off chance that you have some money left over, consider getting an SSD boot drive. Even spending $50 to $70 on a cheaper 120GB model like a Samsung 850 Evo makes a noticeable difference just by getting the OS off the hard drive where games and such are stored, especially if you aren't disabling your page file. Of course if it isn't in the budget, then don't sacrifice something more important for it.
