Hi guys,

I recently upgraded to an Asus Rampage V Extreme motherboard and am wondering if I would get better sound through my speakers if I used the onboard sound or a dedicated Asus Xonar Essence STX sound card (bought August 2012)? I'm quite confused as to which sound option would provide the best audio experience, so any advice you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys!

I'll try, but I'm having it built, might be mind of difficult if I have to physically remove and then reinstall it...I know it seems Like somewhat of a strange question. Is there any type of general consensus? I know audio is a subjective experience...but is there a rule of thumb or anything like that?

I do appreciate the response and advice smorizio, thanks for taking the time to look at the thread.

Gonna go and meet with the builder; any other opinions out there? Is it just too subjective an experience to make a recommendation? I know it's a bit of an odd question, but I figured I'd ask one more time in case anybody has a differing opinion.

Thanks again guys
