I have a small form factor HP Compaq dx7500 with 4gb of ram and intel core 2 duo processor. I'm looking for a low profile graphics card but I don't know how to choose one what graphics card would work good with my pc for moderate gaming I won't be playing hardcore games just some simple ones.

your motherboard is lga 775 socket motherboard and has x16 pcie slot so you can insert graphics card in it.you can insert low profile graphics card.like 1 gb.1gb graphic card is also great graphic card it can run good high graphic games.and it will also support your motherboard.now zotac nvivia geforce gt 210 1gb ddr3 graphic card is the low price and best supported with your motherboard.i have also lga 775 motherboard and im also going to buy that graphic card.so it is good graphic card.
