The 4770k will run on any H81, B85, Q85, Q87, H87, Z87, H97, Z97 motherboard, but only the Z87 or Z97 boards will fully support overclocking it, so it would make the most sense to pick a Z series board. Regarding whether it fits, as Suztera mentioned you need to find the form factor of the case, rather than the dimensions. It will most likely be one of Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, ATX, or one of the larger form factors like E-ATX. Look up your case make/model and it should tell you what size boards will fit.
