Hello,
So just this morning, I went on my Gateway desktop. I booted it up like I always did before, did everything exactly the same as I normally would, and then waited for the internet to connect. I waited and waited, and my Realtek RTL8185 54M connected to the internet. However, Windows could not connect to my wireless network. I tried restarting and readjusting the position of my wireless antenna, but I haven't had any luck and I get the above result. I depend on this computer day in and day out and wouldn't want to see it go in the garbage.
Desktop Specifications/Information:
Gateway GT4016 -- Desktop Model
Realtek RTL8185 54M Wireless LAN Utility -- Wireless Connection
Microsoft Windows XP Version 2002 Service Pack 3 -- Operating System
If you need any other information, please let me know, as I'm quite honestly desperate for any help I can get to fix my computer.
