Just as the description says, I am on windows 7 and am using Realtek HD audio and my microphone is picking up all output from my PC including windows sounds, music, movies ect.
The problem started yesterday around 5 or 6 pm after taking a break from some gaming, I have replaced the headset I was using to no avail. If it helps at all neither headset I have tried was a USB headset I have been troubleshooting for the past 3 or 4 hours and have done the following to try and fix it:
I have disabled "Microphone" in Windows sound settings and re-enabled
I have enabled/ disabled "listen to this device" in windows sound settings
I have Disabled/ enabled both Line-In and Stereo Mix
I have Enabled stereo mix and set the volume to 0
I have selected the "Do nothing" option in the "Communications" tab for Windows sound
I have tested to see if this was doing the same on multiple programs (Sound recorder, Team speak 3, steam voice chat) does the same on all 3.
I have Disabled/Enabled the following settings on Realtek HD audio (to no avail): Noise suppression, Acoustic echo cancellation, Beam forming
I have tried both options "Mute the rear output device while a front headphone is plugged in"
and "Make front and rear audio devices playback two audio streams simultaneously"
I have tried both options "Tie up same type of input jacks, i-e Line in or Microphone, as an input device" and "Seperate all input Jacks as independent audio devices"
I have uninstalled all Realtek HD audio drivers and installed the newest drivers.
