This computer will be used for listening to music and general computing and internet. No gaming except windows solitaire and games like that. I am using an HTPC case because I need it to sit horizontally on the table vs a vertical tower case. I plan on trying to install Windows 7 with my original CD. My old CD/DVD player works fine and I plan on scavenging it from my old computer.

Thanks for taking a look and any good suggestions.

If you are worried about IGP, I would probably either wait for skylake, or get an AMD APU. For everyday task, like you plan to do, do not require all that much.

A better board, for you, would be the Asrock H97m Pro4. The MSI H81M-E34 is another that would be ok, if you want to keep it more to the inexpensive side.

Not sure what the 4370 is really going to do for you, vs a 41xx series chip. Not sure I would trust the PSU quality, in that case either. Unless you are a total audiophile, I would drop the sound card. Maybe spend a bit more on a better motherboard, instead. What kind of budget do you have? 120gb isn't much storage, either.

I actually have the sound card, I added it so partpicker could tell me if it was compatible with everything else. I chose the 4370 vs 4170 because it's slightly faster and has HD 4600 instead of HD4400. The $20 difference for a one-time thing isn't that big a deal to me. 120gb SSD of mine at another location isn't even half full. Open to suggestions for a better motherboard

One thing you may want to be cautious of is, if you had an OEM copy of Windows, you would need to buy a new copy of Windows. OEM copies are locked to the motherboard and are non-transferable.

Thanks for the input. I had entered that I needed 2 memory slots and a slot for the sound card and what came up was the Gigabyte. If the Asrock is a better board for the build I will change to that.
