Hey everyone, I'm stuck in a bit of a dilemma. I'd like to play SF5 and MKX, I have 2 options. Buy a ps4 for $350ish including one of the games, or upgrade my gpu so I can run them on my pc. Here's my specs : http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/pccentric/saved/pfDzK8
So, will upgrading my gpu allow me to play these games? And are there any you'd recommend for a somewhat affordable price? ($400 and less, realistically 300-350)

MKX specs : OS: 64-bit: Win 7, Win 8, Win 10
Processor: Intel Core i7-3770, 3.4 GHz | AMD FX-8350, 4.0 GHz
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 | AMD Radeon HD 7950
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Hard Drive: 40 GB available space

Predicted SF5 specs : Street Fighter 5 PC Recommended System Requirements
OS: Win 7 SP1, Win 8.1 (64-bit Operating System Required)
Processor: Intel Core i7-3770, 3.4 GHz | AMD FX-8350, 4.0 GHz
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760
Graphics Memory: 3 GB
DirectX®: 11
Network: Broadband Internet Connection Required
Hard Drive Space: 55 GB

if you want to go all out then get this, otherwise dont get a new CPU. I would not just upgrade the GPU.

But either of these options are way better than a PS4 and will definitely outperform it, and you dont have to pay for "playstation plus"

But the gtx 750ti will be able to play those games so i dont see the need to upgrade anything but RAM.

so you're saying if I plan on upgrading I should get both a cpu and a gpu, not just the gpu? And If I upgrade ram should go 12 or 16 for the money? is 16 overkill or necessary?

just updated the PSU to a cheaper quality option

No you do not need 12 or 16gb of ram, 16 is super overkill and you will probably never utilize more than 8, i would just get 1 4gb stick for now.

The CPU in your current build is good but it is dual core non-hyperthreaded which isn't even able to play many games.

The reason i think you should upgrade the CPU and GPU is that there would not be much point in getting a better GPU if the CPU is just going to slow you down.

Also your current build with a 750ti is pretty decent and can play those games at med-high settings I don't think you really need to upgrade to match or get close to PS4 power, just overclock your GPU.

I forgot to mention I have already put in another 4 gb ram stick btw, and yea, I think I'll just invest in both a CPU and GPU as opposed to getting a console. Thanks for the help, much appreciated!
