Will I Get Good Performance without Overclocking My Processor

Hello, I am planning on getting a new processor for my computer, (AMD Athlon X4 860K) and the rest of my specs are here - http://pcpartpicker.com/user/llevene/saved/pbbzK8 - I originally wanted to OC this CPU to get some more performance out of it, but then I realized that I had not bought a good MOBO for overclocking, and I don't really want to spend extra money on a new board. My question is, on a game like Far Cry 4, (or something along those lines) will I still get a decent performance with the specs I have, or is overclocking necessary to get a good performance? How many fps am I missing out on?
Any help much appreciated, thanks in advance!

Solution
It depends on the game which utilizes more cpu power or gpu. OC gpu may yield 2-5fps, cpu on the other hand could be more but it depends on the game. For example skyrim likes cpu and lot of vram especially with mods, lords of fallen likes gpu/cpu and nvidia physx set - cpu profile over gpu, Far Cry fancy's more gpu>cpu

Overclocking your cpu will not have a big performance increase on gaming, overclocking your gpu on the other hand does.

I personally dont overclock my cpu for gaming, but videorendering will benefit from a cpu overclock

It depends. If the game is CPU bound or makes extensive use of the CPU it can help.

But the trend going forward is to use the GPU more. Well optimized games will use the CPU less and distribute the workload more evenly across CPU cores. And with Windows 10 and DX12, better access to GPU hardware and more efficient use of resources makes a big difference with no overclock.

thanks for all of the responses, really helpful!
i just found this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoT638ErboU - and literally the person in this vid has an almost identical setup to me, same cpu, same video card, same amount of ram, and stock speeds; on high settings with the amd processor he was getting an average of about 35fps which i think is pretty playable and so on medium i would be getting even higher. Because all of you have said that it is the gpu that is more important than the cpu, i guess if i overclocked the gpu to a higher speed i would be getting noticeably better performance right? i did see the post DonkeyOatie showed and that was very helpful! based on those tests i guess my best bet is to overclock my gpu, and leave the cpu as it is
