Hello all. I'm very new to all of this. Please be gentle... Also I tend to babble a lot...
I have always been a PS gamer but I thought I would go for a gaming PC build instead.

I have put together some parts that I will list below. This is the first build for me and looking up parts has given me more understanding of how a computer actually works.
I will (hopefully) be using this in my living room for gaming and streaming movies.
I want a fairly powerful system that would play next gen games smoothly.

My question to you guys in the know is whether this setup would be ok and compatible .
Also I have not listed a case yet because i'm still in the process of choosing a decent one. I think I will go for a mid tower. Preferably with fans but if not I will order some corsair 120mm fans.

CPU: Intel i5 4690K Quad-Core
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler
Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 5 LGA1150
Graphics: MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G GeForce Graphics Card
Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 1866MHz 16GB (2x8GB)
PSU: EVGA 750W G2 Gold Rated
SSD: Samsung 250GB EVO 850 with Poppster SSD Kit
HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB 7200rpm 64MB
Optical Drive: Samsung 24x DVDRW Internal Drive
Wifi Card TP LINK TL-WDN4800 N900 Wireless Dual Band PCI-E Adapter
OS: Windows 8.1

I think that covered all of it. Most will be from Newegg with some parts coming from Amazon.
In total roughly looking at about £886.87 (not including case).

What do you guys think?

Solid build.
On cpu you want the I5 4690K right? (you have 4960K).

750W you need if you plan to put another 970 in your setup. So if you dont want SLI you can save money get lower psu.
8GB ram is enought for todays stuf and gaming but if you mind 16GB is for the future prof, do not do it. Maybe in future you want to upgrade to DDR4 or even DDR5 so you would need to buy a new kit. Now save your money and get 8GB.

Thank you. I will look into getting a lower watt PSU.
I figured 16GB would future proof me or would that be overkill?

Damn it, I thought I proof read it. Yea I meant 4690K...
Thanks for the tips. I'm going to swap the EVGA 750W for the 650W and 8GB ram instead of 16GB.

Do you think a mid tower would be suitable?

Yes the mid tower is fine for your setup cause you will not use watter cooling. I have the NOX Raven 3.0 for the Hyper 212 EVO like yours and it fits there well.

This month will upgrade my cooler for Corsair H110I GTX and my case also to a mid tower Fractal Design Define R5.

I agree with everything so far. Lower watt PSU and 8 GB RAM. A mid tower would be fine (I like my Corsair 500R).

Additionally, I think you could save some money and get a 120 GB SSD rather than the 250 GB. Just the OS and security suite will not fill up a 120, but if there's something you specifically want to put on the SSD then you might need the 250.

Cheers

I'm thinking maybe the NZXT 410 in Black....I've still not yet fully decided though. So many to choose from.

Big thanks to everyone who commented. I really appreciate the help.
Cheers.
