As written in the title, my PC keeps freezing with the optical drive's light constantly on and the screen turning black and no signal. I recently got a new CPU, GPU and 2x4 GB Ram. The Ram can't be at fault because Memtest said both sticks are fine.

The only time it never crashes is when operating in the BIOS. I already reset CMOS.

I suspected the PSU since that's the oldest part (7 years old). I bought a 450W PSU from asus off the internet which still needs to be delivered to me.

My specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom ii x6 1075t
GPU: GeForce GTX 750ti
Ram: 2x Kingston 4GB
PSU: Codegen 400W
Motherboard: Asus M4A78LT-M LE

There are two problems for your new set up.
1) The cpu, because it has 125W TDP, and your MB can only support up to 95W TDP cpu. So you can see the Phenom ii x6 1075t is not in the cpu support list https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M4A78LTM_LE/HelpDesk_CPU/
2) If it is your PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817161005 because it has only 14Amp on the +12V rail, for gtx750ti you need the PSU has at least 400W PSU with 20A on +12V.

I will try putting in my old 4 core CPU tomorrow morning and see if that helps. For the PSU, mine doesn't have an addidional power switch. It has 20A at the 3.3V output, 25A at 5V, 10A at 12V1 and 14A at 12V2.

Edit: would the Cooler Master GX-450W be good enough?

Also, would the Asus M4A785T-M Motherboard be better?
