yes outdated and relatively cheep to replace with a newer model however I do still love it. So my question is update it or would it be worth it to add another in LSI.

8 gig ram ddr3 gskill

You could get a gtx 970, gtx 670's in SLI will peform better but i would still go for the gtx 970 for a few reasons:

when gaming above 1920x1080 the 4gb of vram will be very usefull.
You could always add anoher 970 a year after which will be better.
the 970 can do really high overclocks (about 1000mhz above stock).
the gtx 670's in SlI will not peform well in older titles because of the SLi scaling and you don't have that problem with 1 gpu.
the upgraeability is gone when the second 670 is added...
