Hello

as i posted , im going to upgrade my CPU but im not sure which one is better for gaming (i5 or i7 4th or 5th Generation) i have 16G (8x2 DDR3) rams and i want to keep it or upgrading it to 32G DDR3 soon .

when i was going to buy MB MSI Gaming 7 with i5 (fifth generation) i heard i cant use my old ram because the 5th generation is supporting DDR4 . can any one correct me ? so they told me i5 4690k is very good and the performance is great plus no need to change my RAMs .

my Q is : can you advice me a V.Good CPU for gaming (i will not upgrade my RAMs to DDR4) ? my budget for MB and CPU 500 $ .

note that im always upgrading my PC every 4-5 years . so i need a good PC for next 4-5 years

Thanks

Solution
If you want overclock:
Best for gaming: I5 4690K
Premium CPU: I7 4790K

If you dont want overclock:
Best for gaming: I5 4460 or I5 4590
Premium: I7 4790

So the only OC you have in K series is the I7 4790K that is in 4GHz but I cant name that an OC.
If your not planing OC your best option will be the I5 4460.
