I am just building a new rig, mainly gaming and some video editing, for my stepson. I've been out if this game for 15yrs now so am looking for some advice from you up-to-daters please.
I have already bought:
Sabertooth fx990 R2 mboard
Amd FX 8350 CPU
Memory is my current query. Should I go for 2400 2x8gb with a cas of 11; would the above CPU&board allow with latest firmware?
If not and it gets clocked down, would its cas be lowered to say cl9 at 1866mhz? Or should I just buy some 1866mhz crucial tactical at cl9? Or even some 1600mhz at cl8?
Am stuck at this point and any advice would be appreciated.
