Hi everyone! I'm about ready to start a new build but I wanted to make sure the RAM is okay before I do so.

The main reason I'm a little concerned is because it's not listed on the ASRock memory support list for this motherboard. However, I checked the Crucial website and checked the compatibility of the RAM with the motherboard and they say it is compatible with the H97M-ITX/ac. Who should I believe??

Also, I see on the Intel website for the Xeon E3 1231V3 that it supports "DDR3 and DDR3L 1333/1600 at 1.5V." The memory I have selected is 1.35V, will that be a problem? Please let me know if you see any other problems with this build.

Thank you!

Case: Silverstone Sugo SG13

Motherboard: ASRock H97M-ITX
CPU: Intel Xeon E3 1231V3

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB

Motherboard manufacturers have limited memory available for testing, so every combination of memory/motherboard is not possible for testing. Memory manufacturers have more memory available for testing, so their memory/motherboard compatibility testing is more comprehensive. However, even memory manufacturers may not test every known combination of memory and motherboard due to time and expense associated with testing.

If Crucial memory search results say the memory is compatible, then the memory will have been tested with the motherboard and the memory will be compatible. 1.35 V memory is can be run at 1.5 V without issue.
