I've had enough. I can afford to smash the hell out of the new unused computer parts in my signature and stick it on youtube. And I am VERY near that point.

I can't get windows to install. It kept asking me for cd/DVD drivers and I have given up.

I now have 'invalid partition table' when I start the computer. How do I at least sort this shit out?

What can I download as an iso or whatever to not have invalid partition table when I start the computer?

Solution
Hi

Give up for a while get a good nights sleep

When you start again disconnect the 2 HDD
Remove half of ram
Do you have 4 x 4 GB or 2 x 8 GB of ram
Bad ram can make you take your hair out

Wipe the partition off the ssd
Mbrwizard is one of many utilities which can wipe the start of the disk so it looks like a new disk to windows install

Decide if you want to use gpt partitions or older mbr partitions

Is your windows 7 a retail or system builder disk?
Or a pirate ISO you downloaded off the internet which is corrupt

A good nights sleep will make a big difference

Ok Now I don't have invalid partition table on this bunch of shite.. I just get the Asus in search of the incredible logo screen....

Can't even get into bios...

I remember when things were simpler.. in ten years of building computers, never have I gone through such bullshit to try and make the ying wong suey stuff work...

Oh hang on.. now it's gone into bios on its own...

What the feck has gone on in the last ten years? When did I miss the convention when a bunch of turds got round a table and said.. hey guys lets make installation really hard and confusing and fraught with difficulty.

Well done. You did it.

Thanks mate (mbarnes).

I was being a baby last night.. the tiredness I get because of MS doesn't help...

I sort of love and loathe computers at the same time.. love them cos they are interesting and you can do all kinds of amazing things with them, and hate them cos I know I shouldn't be stuck in front of one for as long as I often am....

My win 7 copy is legit. Most of my bits are new but I got a couple of newish hand me downs from family (the SSD and the windows 7).

Anyhoo.. turns out my problem was with my usb stick and my USB portable DVD-RW.. the usb stick was damagaed, hence windows couldn't load from it.. and my USB DVD-RW, though great when plugged into my plasma or into a computer, just wouldn't play nice with the new hardware.. maybe cos it is 5 years old? No idea.

After reading on the net I bought a copy of parted magic.. that fixed the SSD.. and now windows seems to be installing fine..

So using my one month prime membership and a gift voucher I bought an LG Blu Ray RW... this thing is so quiet I can't hear it and yet windows is installing fast (touch wood... 95%, 96%........)

I'm getting somewhere....
