Hello, I am wondering what 2k performance I would get. I haven't been able to find good benchmarks and every pc is different. Here's my rig
AMD 8320 @ 4.2ghz
MSi 390 8GB (not x, didn't see much difference between the two)
Gigabyte 970a ud3p motherboard
16gb Ripjaws G.skill ram 1600
Cooler master seidon 120M cooler
No SSD, just a 1tb WD hdd
I don't think the rest of my parts matter, or if an SSD would help. I play things from Civ 5 (easy to run) up to Gta V, Battlefront eventually, Fallout 4, skyrim, and then some midrange stuff like Borderlands and Depth. I want at least 45fps, maybe 30-35 depending on the game. Do you think I can run it easily, or should I stick with 1080p 60+ fps? I read that the 390 does well with 2k, but I can't find good benchmarks. Thank you.

Solution
I think you will get the performance you are looking for with the 390. By the way, 2k isn't really a term that is used to refer to 2560x1440, generally just go with 1440p or the full resolution.
What do you mean by 2K?

The performance will depend on the settings and the resolution. 4K at the minimum settings could have higher performance than 1080p with maxed out settings.

An SSD wouldn't make a huge difference in gaming, but it would help with loading games. It can help in games like WoW where you're moving to other terrains with different textures.

Sorry I should've been specific, I meant 2k res preferably medium or higher. It's surprising that I am having trouble finding benchmarks of a 390 of anything that's not 1080 or 4k, or maybe I'm just look in the wrong spot
