Hi,

Ive been playing on an old computer Dell 8100 XPS and the graphics card it has is the GeForce GTS 240. I know its pretty horrible but im wanting to upgrade it a bit just so i can run games a bit better. I need a graphics card that will run on a 350w power supply and I want to only spend about £40-£60 on it, So if you guys could help me out that would be great thanks. Just not sure about compatibility and things like that,

Thanks.

If you buy a new PSU, it will come with all the cables you need (plus some) Nothing else will be required, unless you are using the VGA output on your old graphics card, in which case you may need a DVI cable.
I'm going to guess that you don't have any PCIe power connectors from your PSU. If I'm right, you can't get the R7 250X or 260 unless you also get a new PSU. The best card that doesn't require any extra power connectors is the GTX 750Ti, but this might be out of your budget, but maybe you can find a cheap GTX 750, if not then look at the R7 250.

I was actually thinking the same thing as there is another R7 260X with retails at 87 GBP. However, the 70 GBP one is also brand new so I don't get the difference. We don't have an Amazon in my home country so I don't know why two cards of the same brand and same memory capacity would retail at different prices while being sold by the same shop.

could be because they are overclocked, or have a better cooler.

also the best you can get without upgrading your power supply also, is a gtx 750 ti that runs off the power of the pcie slot alone without additional pcie power cables plugged in.

Yea, you right. R7 250X requires 6 pin, so for budget reasons, only R7 250 I provided above will work without new power supply.

So if i was to get the R7 350x and a new power supply is this all i would need or would i need to buy new cables or anything else?

Thanks
