Hi so I'm buying a computer with dual Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition 3GB Video Cards. I have two monitors with DVI-D inputs. And since the video cards only have HDMI and dvi. I was wondering since there is two if I could have dual monitors with dual graphics cards with One output on the two separate cards. Does that make sense?

I'm slightly confused by your wording but let me try to give you an answer as far as I can understand.

If you mean can GPU 1 connect to Monitor 1 and GPU2 Connect to Monitor 2, I'm afraid the answer is no. This at least to my most recent of knowledge is a Nvidia only feature.

If you mean have GPU1 have 1 output to both monitors then, maybe. If you want both monitors to be the same image through a splitter, yes. However if you want two separate images (aka extended desktop) the last time I tested this it wasn't possible. But that was several years ago.
