Hi all,

So I currently am upgrading to a new cpu and motherboard and ram but I am reusing my HDD and also adding an SDD. The HDD holds my OS currently(8.1), I was under the impression that a fresh Windows install on the SSD was best and to just copy files from the HDD to the SSD and be done with the OS on the HDD. Sound about right to you all? Just trying to make sure I cover my bases. Any more feedback would be greatly appreciated!

No you should reinstall windows if you change from AMD to Intel. Or vice versa. Because they use diff chipsets and drivers

But you can use the same hdd

And you cant copy programs from one to the other (unless theyre steam games) . They wont work
