Hello, so I have finally decided to make the jump and get a new gtx 680 classified edition. I am aware that good gpu's should be paired with capable cpu's to ensure peak performance. I planned on upgrading my amd 6 core processor to an amd 8 core. My question is will that be enough? My motherboard does not support dell so I will have to switch it out along with getting a new cpu.
Note: I DON'T care if the cpu will bottleneck on cpu intensive game(I tend to stray away from them). I am wondering if the cpu will be able to keep up with the graphics card i'm throwing at it. I also don't plan on overclocking either of them.

Yes but I also enjoy programming? I'm not very good at it otherwise I would be pumping out million dollar ideas with my titan Z gpu ;). Anyway yeah it's mostly for gaming so I just worry about a amd 8 core being able to handle cpu intensive games.
