i have gtx 970 g1,and i overclocked it following some info from review sites.i rraised with afterburner the clock by 150 and memory by 200.without raising voltage, battlefield 4 stops working and dipley driver stopped error, but if i raise the voltage by 87 its ok.so is there a danger raising the voltage?

Solution
should be safe, generally nvidia gpu's are voltage locked, the little bit you can add is meant to be within safety, as Tom Petersen said when showcasing 98to overclocking nothing you can do in msi afterburner can damage anything on your card, it will just crash way before anything goes wrong

There's always a danger raising voltage on anything you overclock especially GPUs, if the heat sink protecting your VRs on the graphics card was not properly factory installed.

If the 87 increase is working problem free I suggest limiting it to that, as it seems lately the quality of air cooled heat sinks and water block installation on graphics cards are being handled by a team of factory monkeys, especially after what I discovered with my GTX Titan.
