Hello everyone,

I have an extremely weird problem I've never seen before and was hoping to get some of your input.
Basically my USB had a few important folders on them and when I went to put it into the PC at work it came up with all my files/folders in weird characters (like wingdings). So I removed it and put it back in and it came up with a message saying Windows detected errors on the drive, would you like to scan and fix any errors on the drive, so I said yes. After it scanned and 'fixed' the issues, two of my folders turned into blank files with the same name as the folder.

I have tried doing a chkdsk /r and an attri /h /r etc. however it hasn't restored the folder or any files within the folder.

I am not sure what else to do and I am at a bit of a loss here. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time.
