Basically, my laptop wouldn't boot into Windows 8, ran multiple diagnostics on the drive and found the hard drive to be failing. Fitted a new drive and inserted Windows 8 disk to load OS, however, it loads Windows 8 and then does the usual reboot as it should do , I then get the acer post screen with a loading symbol which says "Getting started" as if it is about to continue with the install, but then it bluescreens and says " IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL " after rebooting again this blue screen doesn't appear again, but a different blue screen appears which says "Recovery, after multiple tries the operating system failed to start, Error 0xc0000001, press enter to try again F8 for start up settings"

Things I've tried to fix problem.

Tried ANOTHER new HDD, same problem

Tried different Windows installation disks, 8.1, 8.0 etc tried multiple disks and definitely have the correct version because it doesn't ask for a license key.

Loaded Windows 7 without a license and that loads up no problems and no blue screens. Got Windows 10 working also without license, but 8 just blue screens every single reboot after a fresh load on a new drive. (License key is integrated into motherboard) I don't have, nor do I want to buy a license for 7 or 10.

Tried new RAM.

Tried defaulting BIOS settings to factory, tried changing HDD ACHI mode to IDE, tried legacy boot mode, tried disabling secure boot. Tried it WITH secure boot and still can't get it to load, same blue screens every time on a fresh hard drive.

Would appreciate any opinions on this problem as I seem to be completely stuck now.
