Two Nvidia GPUs vs Two Nvidia Drivers

Hi guys,

My current setup includes TV(used as monitor) + 2 LG monitors.
In order to run this setup I use a GTX780Ti which supports my TV(as a monitor) + 1 of the LG monitors, the other LG monitor is connected to a Nvidia Geforce 210.

Can somebody tell me if there is a possible way of updating the drivers for each card separately. At the moment GTX780Ti supports a 353.62 driver but my Geforce 210 only goes up to 341.44

To ensure that my setup runs correctly I am forced to use the 341.44 version of the driver which is also available for GTX780Ti.

I've tried installing a newer driver to my gaming card - GTX780Ti and all of the screens went black and wouldn't turn on or just one of the 3 would turn on and the scaling on it would be horribly messed up...

Question: Can two different GPUs run two different versions of the same driver simultaneously ?

Solution ?

The answer is no. Enjoy the simplicity of one GPU!

That's a hard question to answer and likely not worth the trouble over running single card instead.

What options do you have as far as inputs on those monitors? The 780 Ti has 1 DVI-I, 1 DVI-D, 1 DP, and 1 HDMI connections. You could use any combination of cables. Most likely HDMI for the TV and DVI-D/DisplayPort for the two LG monitors.

How does that sound?

So there is absolutely no point in using an additional GPU for extra monitors... I am left with the impression that having 3 monitors on the same GPU would have a noticeable impact on the performance or am I wrong ?

Some of my games (League of Legends, Need for Speed World or World of Warcraft) I like to play and simultaneously listen to music (soundcloud or youtube opened) on my extra monitor.. wouldn't having a video content or other programs opened hurt the in game performance if I didn't have my Geforce 210 ?

Nope, no noticeable impact unless gaming with all three monitors. Well I shouldn't say that, some people report higher GPU usage/idle temperatures when driving 3 monitors. But it is definitely favorable to driving multiple monitors with differing cards on the same board. Cards of different generations adding even more wonkiness to the setup.

If the answer is no.... then the solution is pretty simple... i'll stick to using my 780Ti for all 3 of the moenitors
