Hi Guys,

I used to have a problem with my RAM like this and I bought new RAM and upgraded from 8GB to 16GB a while back and never had this problem since but now it's started happening again but even worse!

This is what I see on startup on a regular basis all of a sudden:

I have tried so many different ways of diagnosing this but I have yet to find one that actually works...

This is such a pain as I use my computer to game and edit videos, both of which at times require a lot of RAM so I need all I can get and being down 50% of it before I even open Chrome is a little bit of a set back...

Thanks in advance for any replies! :)

Ben

Hi,

I have already done all of what you suggested and had no luck unfortunately...

I regularly run virus and malware tests and I have checked the start up programs and nothing is out of the ordinary is there.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks
Ben.

Hi,

No I'm just using normal 2 x 8GB ram.

I'm at work currently but I can get the model and MHz etc. once I'm home if this helps?

Thanks
Ben

Mobo is an MSI MPower Z87
CPU is Intel i7 4770k @ 4.4GHz
CPU Cooler is Corsair H100i

Anything else you need to know about it?

I don't think it's too tight as I never had this problem with this and I've had my rig for over a year and it started after having mine for about 7 or 8 months...

Thanks
Ben

Hmmm... This appears to be where my knowledge in fancy terminology runs out and you have to explain in more simple terms!

Hi,

I looked in the BIOS and didn't find anything for this...

Would it be dependent on the type of mobo I have?

Thanks
Ben
