How much vram will 1080p take up in the future and help with crossfire/sli

so GTA 5 takes up a little more than 4gb of vram already, how much will it take up about 3-4 years down the line, I am talking about new games at that time not gta 5, can 1080p really take up that much vram at ultra 1080p? And I need a crossfire/sli setup that will cost under $500 for the both of them combined. And Ik this is the gpu section but how long will a new skylake cpu last? Or the xeon 1231v3? I want the gpu's to be able to play games that don't support crossfire/sli on their own ( only using 1 of the gpu's to play the game ) Please help!

Solution
yes. 1080p with games like GTAV and shadow of mordor can use a whoole bunch of vram, and games will start to use 4GB as a standard in 1080p, as games are getting more and more vram demanding...

the CPU will be good enough for longer, as games always were (and always going to be) GPU intensive, so older CPUs could handle very well on new games (take the i5 2500k for example)

What 2 gpu's should I get for under $500 for the both of them? I just want it to still get me 60 fps at about mid settings about 3-4 years from now. And it has to be able to play games that are out today really well with just 1 of the cards in use. I am looking at the r9 380.. but Idk, lemme know what you think I should get. And I want 2 gpus not just for looks but for tons of monitors and such, I am just gonna stick to 1080p, how much vram do you think games will take 3-4 years from now?

thank you so much for your time it is greatly appreciated!

if you want to get a CF setup, scrap it, as a single r9 390x with 8GB of vram will be good enough for 3-4 years, and wont have any problems with CF. not to mention that it's only 430-450 dollars.

I really want a cf setup, and the r9 390x only gets like 5 more fps than the r9 390 right? But I really want a crossfire setup, Ik everything that's wrong with crossfire but dx12 allows more support for crossfire and I want to have 4 monitors running.
