Hi, I'm looking to build a gaming pc able to play newer games at mid-high settings, 1080p, and get decent frame rates. My budget is around 800-950. I was mainly confused about what CPU and gpu to get because people on the forums are using USD, and I'm from Canada. Any advice on what to get? Thanks!

Solution
Do you have anything to use? OS, Keyboard/mouse, monitor? That's a very tight budget if you need all of that stuff.

This uses most budget, but has no GPU..

Can easily handle a better GPU.

You need the most powerful GPU you can afford and my need to upgrade your PSU a little to handle it.

Yes. mATX is smaller and has fewer PCIe slots and usually fewer other things too, but it can fit in smaller cases. There's nothing you are doing which requires an ATX board, so the one I suggested is a good board for a good price. The case is better built than other ATX cases at the same price and includes two decent fans.

I tend to suggest the smallest system that will do the job, if it will not increase the price.
