Hopefully I am on the right forum.

I got two different pcs that I put toghter. But wondering which I should chose with this pricing. Prices are in Nok (Norwegian kroner). And if you could suggest something better for the same price.

This one has a good base. Only need a GPU upgrade later:

Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 3 1190
Intel Core i5 4690K / 3.5 GHz prosessor 2399
HyperX Fury Red 8GB 1866hz 8GB 599
Kingston SSDNow V300 240GB 699
CoolerMaster Elite 310 + 500W white 649
XFX Radeon R7 360 DD 2GB 1190
Cooler Master HTK-002-U1 45
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo 290

= 7011 nok

This one has a worse CPU, but should still be a doable machine, also a better GPU:

CoolerMaster Elite 310 + 500W white 649
Intel Pentium G3258 Anniversary Edition, 3.2GHz Dualcore, LGA1150 699
HyperX Fury REd 8GB 1866hz 599
ASUS LGA1150 B85M-G 749
Kingston SSDNow V300 240GB 699
Cooler Master HTK-002-U1 45
ASus GTX 960 Strix med 4gb Minne 2539
ASUS DVD Writer, DRW-24F1ST, SATA, Black, Retail 249
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo 290

= 6518 nok

i5 4460 is not much weaker than i5 4690k, so yes you should get a bit weaker CPU to get much better GPU. In the end i5 4690k will cost alot more because you need good Z97 motherboard of OC and aftermarket CPU cooler. Here you can see about how much the difference would be between i5 4460 and i5 4690k both with same GPU. (Look at i5 4570 and i5 4670k) http://www.hardwarepal.com/best-cpu-gaming-9-processors-8-games-tested/

But because you can get much better GPU if you choose i5 4460, it will perfrom way better in games than i5 4690k with weaker GPU.

GPUs are more important in gaming than CPUs

Difference between SSD, BX100 is about 50% better than V300 -...
The SSD is junk. It is the worst one you can buy. Change it for sure. A crucial BX100 would be ideal.

The bottom build will need a BIOS update to even boot, so it won't work. You need an h97 motherboard for that.

Personally I would go in the middle. GEt an i3 (as good as an i5 is most games) and then the bet GPU you can.

Drop the thermal paste. The stock cooler or an aftermarket cooler comes with it.

Thanks for taking your time to review this turbo piki. So you mean I should rather go for a lower CPU and get a higher GPU instead? If I get the I5 4960k I can overclock it and really make it endgame. And rather upgrade GPU later. Isnt that I5 4460 lower? The SSD might be good. Also I dno about the PSU. The tower had a nice price. But trying to save cash by getting a tower + psu. Seems cheaper.

The i5 4460 and an overclocked 4690k will perform basically the same in all games unless you have some CRAZY GPU setup like SLI 980tis. The difference in NOT worth the price.

The 4460 is a much better idea.

DO NOT buy a case + PSU. The PSU WILL be crap and it is the SINGLE most important part of the computer and is NEVER to be cheaped out on. A bad PSU will destroy your entire PC. I have seen it hundreds of times.

The PSU i picked is chepest good quality one, Case and PSU combos always have bad quality PSU. Here you can check which PSU are good - http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

and here you can see what wattage PSU for which GPU - http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm
