Hey everyone,

Recently my Windows 8.1 Installation has been acting up. When I run sfc /scannow I get the typical "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them"

Running a dism /online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth returns that files are ready to be repaired. I was uable to do so using Windows updates, so I mounted the install.wim image from my Installation disk to my HDD and chose the windows folder as the source for the repair. I ran the command Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source: D :\mount\windows /LimitAccess but recieved error 0x800f081f The souce files could not be found,

Any ideas?
Thanks

I believe that sfc /scannow says that every time you run it.

My system runs just fine. I ran sfx once, just to see what it would say, and it said "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them".

I kind of chuckled and have never run it again. Mainly because I have never needed to run it.

I have seen it fix problems when they existed. So it can do good. But it just seems to give that message to everyone. Only Microsoft can answer the "why" on that.
