Hello,

I would like to know if my PSU can deliver enough Watt for my GPU.

My PSU is a: XFX TS series 650W 80 gold+ certificate.
GPU is a: Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 Wind Force 3X OC-4GB GDDR5

There must be a link somewhere or some sort of specific website for the wattage usage and how many required for my GPU (I will appreciate a lot if u can just tell me). Although I give you all my full computer specs:

Processor intel core i5-4460
Motherboard ASrock H97 Anniversary
RAM Kingston Fury Black 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Hard Drive Disk WD Caviar Blue 1TB SATA
DVD/cd optical driver Asus DRW-24F1ST

Note: my GPU requires a minimum of 600W. Still want to make sure, my PSU can handle it and other components.

Thank you :)

Solution
Yes, it should be sufficient. The i5 is very power efficient, so you should be good with 650w. I personally have the same PSU, but powering a R9 380 and a power-hungry FX-8320. Here's a good wattage calculator: http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator

*Edit: I put in your specs in the calculator and got a load wattage of 495W, and it recommended a 650W PSU. So you're all set.

It will be sufficient enough. Recommended system power supply on official site is 600W and you are already above it.

According to above reviews, it consumes around 300W while heavy gaming. So, 650W will be more than enough.

Thanks a lot man! Don't you think my PSU is kinda overkill for my current specs? Should I get a 550 or 620 seasonic PSU? I don't plan on overclocking though, although my GPU is overclockable and its set to it standard I guess. Or should I stay with the 650 PSU watt incase in the future I might change my computer.

Note: It saids my GPU requires a minimum of 600W so I was worried, best bet to get 650W so I don't have to buy 2 times later in the future you know and can keep for a long time.

What's ur advice?

:)

I would just stick with your current PSU, it's reliable and 650W is plenty for a single GPU setup. Your PSU has 54A on the +12V rail, and the R9 290 requires something like 31A so you're fine. You should have some overclocking headroom with 650W.

Yeah indeed, you are right I stick with it and its nice to have plenty of room to overclock (not that I'm gonna use in the future or now)

About my RAM, if I want 16 GB RAM. I now have 8 GB RAM. When and what do I use 16 GB RAM for? Do I have to buy the exact same RAM: Kingston Fury Black 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 ( I don't want bottlenecks)

8 GB of RAM should be enough, unless I wanna use Adobe Illustrator C6, Adobe Indesign C6 and Adobe photoshop C6? :)
