EVGA GeForce GTX 960 SSC ACX 2.0+ 2GB vs Palit GTX 660 Ti (2048MB GDDR5)

I want to get and upgrade from my Palit GTX 660 Ti (2048MB GDDR5) and ive been looking at the EVGA GeForce GTX 960 SSC ACX 2.0+ 2GB but im not sure if its better and has anyone got any other ideas better than my current GPU and the GTX 960 under $360 AUD.

Get the r9 280x, it will be way faster.
Keep in mind tough that you will need a good psu

I forgot to add that the r9 280x will not take a 100% advantage of dx 12, so the gtx 960 might outperform the 280x in dx 12 games.

But in the older games the 280x will be faster

overclock your 660 ti, save money until you can nab a gtx 970 or r9 290

Get a R9 380, it's the same price as the GTX 960 but performs better. It will also have full DX12 support. Personally, I'd save a bit more and go for a GTX 970 or R9 390.
