I have always played console games and have recently wanted to get into pc. I have some money now and decided on an $800 budget. I ended with a little bit to spare so do you think this pc will run arma 3 and dayz on med-high settings and do I need to add or change anything. Also can this be hooked up with an hdmi? http://pcpartpicker.com/user/andyd18/saved/vWVPxr

If you dont mind AMD, r290 is 30 dollars more and a lot better than the 960

Edit: make sure to notice that your mobo is an H97 and not Z97 if you want to overclock your CPU. If not then dial back on the CPU and get a non OC ( ones without a "k" at the end) version.

4690k, with an H97 board is pointless, as the H97 board is not made to overclock, and the 4690k is. CX 600 is a low quality tier 4 unit. Stick to tier 1 and tier 2. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html USB wifi adapters are not very reliable. Stick with PCI-E solutions. With some changes, you can manage to squeeze in the far better GTX 970, while keeping the cost pretty much the same.

I agree with Iggy. You have more CPU power than GPU power in this build. I would try to rebalance this to get a batter video card.

Even if you have to go with say an H-series motherboard and an i5 4590, if it gets you and R9 290 / 290x / 390 or a GTX 970, that will give you a better gaming experience overall.

Don't get the GTX 960, it's under powered and overpriced. Consider a R9 380 (4GB), R9 290, R9 390, or GTX 970. Any of those cards will run the latest games maxed out. The GTX 960, however, will not, even at 1080p. 2GB of VRAM simply doesn't cut it these days.
