Installing 2 different windows version (7 OEM and 10) on the same computer

Hello,

I have Windows 7 OEM installed on my computer.
Since I got a new SSD, I thought to install WIndows there, too (not cloning my drive), so I want to ask if it is ok with MSFT for me to install Win 7 OEM on 2 drives in the same computer, or even better, Win7 OEM on one drive, and Win 10 (based on the Win7 OEM license) on the SSD.

That's possible. However you will have trouble with activation of Windows 10. I can provide you step by step instructions on how to install windows 10, If you need me to.

i think ms will deactivate the win 7 license when they activate win 10 off it. so i dont think you will be able to do that.
its a free upgrade no a free install.

You can't upgrade your Windows 7 to Windows 10, and continue to use your original Windows 7.
It's an Upgrade, not a whole free OS.

It will work for 30 days, after that your Windows 7 Key will become invalid. But there really is no reason to keep Windows 7. I know, I know we all like it and familiar and all that. If you want to wait for all the bugs clear out you have until 6/20ish next year to upgrade.
