Hello people of the internet.
I just registered as I really need some help.

I just upgraded my system with a new motherboard and CPU, and now I can't get my system to recognize the HDD that I keep all my files on.
Everything else shows up fine, both my SSD and the DVD works, it's just the HDD that won't show up, either in BIOS or in Windows.

This is what I've tried:
Updating BIOS
Switched SATA ports
Switched SATA cable

Sadly, I don't have access to another system to test the HDD on, but it worked just fine yesterday with my old motherboard, a MK Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD4ATX, S1156

My system looks like this:
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 64bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K 3,5GHz
CPU COOLER: Corsair Cooling Hydro H50CPU-kylare
Motherboard: Asus z97-A
RAM: 2x 4 GB CL9 1600Mhz VENGEANCE LP
GFX: Asus GeForce GTX 780 DirectCU II OC HDMI DP 2xDVI 3GB
SSD 1: Samsung SSD EVO 850-Series 250GB
SSD 2: 80GB Intel X25-M G22,5-tum, 34nm
HDD: 1TB Samsung SP SATA-27200RPM Spinpoint F3
Power source: Corsair HX 650W80+

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After a lot of work I managed to boot up the system with the old motherboard and was able to access the HDD without any problem.
So the fault must lie with the Asus z97-A.

Anyone?
